ALTERNATIVES TO INSULIN

Many people who write to me have cats suffering from liver, pancreas, infections and other diseases who, to top it all, have just been diagnosed with diabetes, most of the times, as a result of taking that medication.

The downside of this is that the poor cats are already taking a lot of medication, that is "chemicals", that cure one thing but damage others. These diseases, along with their medications cause that the insulin cannot be absorbed as it should, and extreme peaks are presented very difficult to control. This leads to the desperation of their owners who are helpless when it comes to healing their cats.

But, what can we do to heal our furry companions? Here are some ideas: We can administer to our pets nutrients to stimulate the appetite, essential vitamins or minerals that help them to cope with these diseases. These supplements can be found in gels, chewable tablets, powders, etc.

VITAMINS

We can give our cats vitamin supplements (A, D, E, calcium, iron, folic acid) and adjust these vitamins depending on the problem of our cat. For example, if our pet is always sick maybe what we should do is buy vitamins to strengthen his immune system. If our pet has just overcome a disease that has left him weakened, there are products on the market reinforced in vitamins and minerals.

These are some examples of vitamins for cats:
